John Reed

The Pirates

In–depth read and critique session

Sunday-Friday
9:15 PM into the wee hours
Terrace III

This is a lively, spirited read-and-critique session, often stretching into the wee, small hours of the morning. Students who try hard to help their fellow writers often end up helping themselves even more. You won’t need to bring copies for the group, but if you want in-text edits, provide one copy for the instructor.

Message to Students

Of my students I require an open mind and a willingness to write from the heart – even when you don’t feel good, and if it’s your first time to the conference: Relax, take a deep breath and plunge in.You’ll find your writing life forever changed.
